Saturday Morning Films.
I remember in early 2014 when I started doing video work, and I really wanted to get into filmmaking. Not just making videos but actually learning how to make movies. And I will search the Internet, inevitably YouTube and I found out two things. Number one no one was making content like that, sure there was lots of videos on how to be a blogger and and how to make travel videos in wedding videos, but very few about how to make films. And secondly I also discovered there were very few people out there who look like me, I thought representation was lacking not only for people who look like me but people who believed like me. As a believer I always thought to myself why do Christians only McClean church videos? Why is it that Kristian's videos are always so cheesy? And that struggle has stuck with me over the past five years. Now I must say we've come obviously I've come along way in a lot of these areas, but I still always felt like these two areas were always lacking. And that was frustrations as well help birth the idea of Saturday morning films. An initiative that is to help inspire equip and create content for minority-based filmmakers and storytellers especially those of faith. Right now we are working on films, tutorials, podcasts, downloadable and perch about assets to help equip minority in faith based filmmakers to tell more thetic and powerful stories for the world!
